Get MobilePay for online payments

For a Danish club without a Vipps MobilePay agreement yet. What you need, what it costs, how to apply, and how to collect fees in the meantime.

To take payments online in Clubroom, your club needs its own agreement with Vipps MobilePay. This article is for a club in Denmark that doesn't have one yet. The club signs the agreement with Vipps MobilePay directly, and the money goes to the club's account. Clubroom never holds it.

You don't need it to start

Without an agreement, you can still collect membership fees today:

  • by bank transfer to the club's account,
  • by MobilePay to the club's MobilePay number, if you have one.

Each member gets their own payment reference to write as the message. Then you upload the bank statement, and Clubroom finds who paid. See Collect membership fees and Match bank transfers to members.

Online payment saves that step: members pay when they join or renew, and Clubroom records it at once.

1. What the club needs

  • An active CVR number.
  • A Danish bank account in the club's name, tied to that CVR number.
  • Someone with signing rights under the club's statutes, with MitID. One signature is enough.
  • The names of all board members. Vipps MobilePay treats a Danish association's whole board as its beneficial owners, so list everyone.

Vipps MobilePay also runs a credit check on the club.

2. Which product to order

Order Integreret betaling (integrated payment), which is online payment through an API. Their site calls the page Betalingsintegration. A MobilePay number that people send money to is a different product and isn't enough for online payment in Clubroom.

3. What it costs

In October 2026, Vipps MobilePay's price list says:

  • 0.59% + 1 kr. per payment,
  • rising to 0.89% + 1 kr. per payment from 1 January 2027,
  • no monthly fee or setup fee listed.

On a 300 kr. membership, that's about 2.77 kr. now, and 3.67 kr. from 2027. Prices change, so check the current ones at vippsmobilepay.com before you apply.

4. Apply

  1. Go to vippsmobilepay.com, open Integreret betaling, and click Kom i gang.
  2. Confirm who you are with MitID.
  3. Find the club by its CVR number, and fill in the bank account and the board members.
  4. Sign the agreement.
  5. Order Integreret betaling. Vipps MobilePay only replies once a product is ordered.

The person who signs becomes the administrator of the club's account in the Vipps MobilePay business portal. If they can't confirm the bank account on their own, they ask the club to send 1 kr. from it, and send it back.

5. Wait for the answer

Vipps MobilePay says online products can take up to a week to approve, longer in busy periods. When you're approved, you get an email with the club's sales unit name and its Merchant Serial Number (MSN).

6. Connect it to Clubroom

  1. Sign in to the business portal.
  2. Under For udviklere, open the API-nøgler tab, choose Produktion, and click Vis nøgler.
  3. Follow Take payments online to paste the keys into Clubroom and offer online payment to members.
