There's no single best membership system. A riding club with 600 members and its own arena needs something different from a pétanque club with 40 members and a spreadsheet. So we don't name a winner. We say what each system costs, what it's good at, and what to ask before you switch.
We make Clubroom, which is on the list too. We've tried hard to be fair: prices are the ones the vendors state on their own websites in October 2026, and where sources disagree, we say so. Prices change, so always check the vendor's own page before you decide.
In short
- Conventus: for clubs in a municipality that pays for it, and that book halls through it.
- Holdsport: for sports clubs with many teams that want an app for players and parents.
- Klubmodul: for larger clubs and riding clubs that want a website, accounts and sign-up in one.
- ForeningLet: for clubs focused on finances, Betalingsservice, booking or door access.
- goMember: for clubs that want accounts, website and app in one package.
- Zakobo: for badminton and cycling clubs whose federation uses Zakobo.
- Foreningsadministrator and Foreningsstyring.dk: for small clubs on a small budget.
- MinForening: for clubs that want a free app and can live with sponsors.
- Spond: a team app with payments, not a full membership system.
- Clubroom: for the volunteer treasurer who wants dues, reminders and bank matching to run by themselves.
What to look for
Before you compare prices, write down what your club actually needs. Most choices come down to the same points:
- The total price over three years. Add up the monthly price, the setup fee and the add-on modules. A system at 99 kr. a month with 3,000 kr. setup and two modules costs more than one at 250 kr. without.
- Fees on members' payments. Some systems take an amount or a percentage of every fee paid. Either the club or the member pays it.
- VAT (moms). Only VAT-registered organisations can deduct VAT,1 and many clubs aren't registered, because they're under the 50,000 kr. a year threshold or exempt.2 Check whether a price includes it.
- Ways to pay. MobilePay, cards, bank transfer and Betalingsservice. Who is the agreement with, and who pays for it?
- The CFR count. Can the system count members by CFR's rules, or send the numbers directly?
- Sign-up for teams with places and a waiting list, if your teams fill up.
- An app for members, if your coaches and parents live in one.
- Your data. Can you export everything whenever you like? Where is it stored, and do you get a data processing agreement? You need one when the system handles members' data for you.3
- Support. Who answers, and how fast?
- The switch. Will they help you move your members over?
The systems, one by one
Prices are as the vendors state them in October 2026, including or excluding VAT as they write it.
Conventus
- For: clubs, sports halls and municipalities. Conventus says over 3,000 clubs use it.4
- Price: Gratis (free), Basis at 50 kr. and Pro at 175 kr. a month, including VAT.5 Some municipalities, such as Hedensted, pay for Pro for their clubs, but add-ons such as card payments and SMS are paid by the club.6
- Good at: sign-up for teams, booking halls and rooms (some municipalities require it),7 accounts and communication.
- Worth knowing: card payments need an acquiring agreement, for example with Nets or Clearhaus.5 Conventus is one of the systems that can send numbers to CFR.8
Holdsport
- For: sports clubs with many teams, and federations.
- Price: Basic is free. PRO costs 1.34 kr. per member a month, at least 169 kr. a month, excluding VAT.9
- Fees: there's an administration fee of 3-15 kr. on each payment, depending on the amount. The club chooses whether the club or the member pays it.10
- Good at: an app for players and parents, sign-up, chat,11 and dues by MobilePay and card.10 With PRO, Holdsport can count members for CFR and send the numbers.912
Klubmodul
- For: larger clubs, riding schools and riding clubs, and federations. Klubmodul says over 2,000 clubs use it.13
- Price: a start-up package at 9,995 kr., then a monthly price by number of members.14 Klubmodul also says some clubs, such as supporters' associations, can get it for free.13
- Good at: teams with waiting lists,15 accounts, a website, an app13 and a setup for riding clubs.16 Klubmodul has a CFR integration.17
- Worth knowing: cards and MobilePay run through a Nets Easy agreement, and recurring dues by MobilePay need a second agreement with MobilePay (Subscriptions).18
ForeningLet
- For: clubs focused on finances, fitness and shooting clubs, and clubs with booking or a door system.
- Price: from 99 kr. a month for up to 100 members, and a 3,000 kr. setup fee, excluding VAT. Modules such as a sign-up portal, accounts, website and booking cost 59-60 kr. a month each.19
- Good at: collecting by Betalingsservice and MobilePay Subscriptions, accounts, booking courts and rooms, and door access.20
goMember
- For: clubs that want everything in one package. goMember says over 700 clubs use it.21
- Price: at 100 members, Smart costs 259 kr., Pro 282 kr. and Premium 470 kr. a month, including VAT. Start-up costs 10,900 kr. or 14,900 kr. including VAT, by package.21
- Fees: goMember says it adds no fee to members' payments.21
- Good at: member register, collection, accounts, website, app, booking and door access.
Zakobo
- For: badminton and cycling clubs in particular. Badminton Danmark's clubs can use it without licence costs,22 and Danmarks Cykle Union uses Zakobo's federation setup.23
- Price: a monthly licence by number of members, and a start-up package from 9,995 kr. to 39,995 kr. excluding VAT.24
- Good at: website, online payment and accounts,25 and reporting to CFR8 and the federation.23
Foreningsadministrator
- For: small and medium clubs.
- Price: 69, 99 or 129 kr. a month by number of members, and 1,250 kr. setup, including VAT.26 From 1 January 2027 the base package costs 64-164 kr. a month in four steps.27
- Good at: an inexpensive member register with accounts.26 It can send numbers to CFR.8
- Worth knowing: recurring MobilePay payments are an add-on module, and need the club's own agreement with MobilePay.26
Foreningsstyring.dk
- For: small clubs.
- Price: from 1 kr. per member a month, at least 100 kr. a month, no lock-in.28
- Good at: dues by MobilePay, board tools and digital general meetings.28
MinForening
- For: clubs that want a free app.
- Price: the basic system is free, paid for by sponsors.29 Modules from its module shop cost 100 kr. a month under 250 users and 200 kr. from 250, excluding VAT.30
- Worth knowing: there's a fee of 0.69% plus 1 kr. on each MobilePay payment, and setting up your own MobilePay integration costs 750 kr. excluding VAT.31
Spond
- For: teams that want to plan training and matches and take payments in an app.
- Price: the app is free. Payments in kroner cost 2 kr. plus 2.5% per payment, paid by the group unless it passes it on to the member.32
- Worth knowing: according to Spond, Spond Club, its membership system, isn't taking new clubs in Denmark at the moment.33 Spond works best as a team app alongside a membership system.
Clubroom
- For: the volunteer treasurer in small and medium clubs.
- Price: no fees on members' payments. The club uses its own payment agreement (Vipps MobilePay, Frisbii or Quickpay), and the money goes straight to the club. Prices are being set with the first clubs.
- Good at: dues with reminders on your own schedule, bank transfers with a reference that match themselves, a membership card on the phone, the CFR count, teams and training as recipes, and handing over to the next treasurer.
- Worth knowing: Clubroom is new. There's no hall booking, no website builder and no Betalingsservice yet, and the CFR numbers are typed in at medlemstal.dk rather than sent directly.
How to choose
- Write down your five most important needs before you look at prices. If booking halls through the municipality is a must, the choice may already be made.
- Work out the total price over three years, with setup, modules and fees on payments.
- Try it with your own data. Most have a free trial. Import your real member list, and see if it makes sense.
- Ask about export before you sign. It's your data, and you should be able to take it with you if you switch again.
- Think of the next treasurer. Could a new volunteer find their way around without a course?
Frequently asked questions
What's the cheapest membership system?
If your municipality pays for Conventus, it's hard to beat on price. Otherwise the cheapest start at about 70-100 kr. a month,262819 but remember setup, modules and fees on payments. A free system can end up expensive if members pay a fee on every payment.
Which systems can report to CFR?
Conventus, Holdsport, Klubmodul, Foreningsadministrator and Zakobo can send the numbers directly. The club still has to log in at medlemstal.dk and finish.8 Read more in The 2026 CFR count.
Can members pay with MobilePay?
In most systems, yes, but the agreement and the fee differ. Some use the system's own agreement,10 others need the club to have its own.26
How long does switching take?
With an export from the old system and an import that knows its format, the member list can move in an evening. What takes time is getting members to pay in the new place, so plan the switch before a fee period, not in the middle of one.
Method
Prices and figures are the ones the vendors state on their own websites in October 2026, with VAT included or excluded as they write it. Where a vendor's own pages disagree with each other, we've described the arrangement instead of giving a number. The list of systems with a CFR integration is the one CFR itself gives at medlemstal.dk.8 If you spot a mistake, write to hello@getclubroom.com and we'll fix it.
